Kanha Tiger Reserve

Kanha National Park is one of the most striking national parks in the Maikal range that proves to be the most inspiring place for the creative creatures. Creatures that don't live in the jungles but have great fascinations for the jungles, the intelligent creatures, the human being, who have great alluring for the wildlife and natural bewilderment. Among those intelligent creatures, the most notable writer and novelist of 18th century Rudyard Kipling once visited this place, the place which is the perfect home to magnanimous counts of Barasingha, the Swamp Deer. And to the curiosity of many, the invention of "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling was the result of the perfect inspiration of Kanha and the nearby areas.

Wildlife in Kanha: The Kanha National Park is reckoned as the perfect habitat for large amount of herbivores and carnivores animals. Tourists can discover the abundant varieties of wildlife. It is the only location in India where the most abundant variety of Barasingha can be found and so does to call them as the "Jewel of Kanha".

Panna Tiger Reserve / National Park

Panna National Park is a popular wildlife tourism destination, close to Khajuraho temples site. As a wildlife safari destination, it is prominently highlighted in Central India tourism map. A range of flat - topped hills rise above the east bank of the ken river, 40 kilometers south-east from Khajuraho on the Bamitha to Panna road. This area is protected as the Panna Nationa Park and boasts of the last vestiges of the glorious teak forest that once covered so much of the region. The teak forests are magnificent just after the monsoons, an in autumn when great pyramids of teak flower perfume the atmosphere. In summer the giant teak leaves wither into lacy skeltons and fall, covering the earth with a carpet of many hues. The park is open from October to June during which we can enjoy jungle safaris in this tiger reserve. During monsoon season, park remains closed for tourists. The park is psread over 543 square kilometers with picturesque gorges, waterfalls and thick teak forests. Only petrol-driven jeeps are permitted within its confines, and an early morning guided tour, if lucky, you may see the graceful Tigers, Leopards, Sloth bear, Spotted deer or Chital, the Indian gazelle, a herd of wild boar, Hyena etc. It is also good for birding. Its rocky hilly offers ideal place for vultures nesting due to which here we can see 6 different species of vultures which is special attraction of Panna jungle safaris. Forest area is adjacent to Panna town which is a historic place. The city's royal past dates back to mid of 17th Century AD, when it became the capital of Maharaja Chhatrasal's kingdom. On the other hand, with Ken River passing through Panna hills, the city has a wildlife-friendly present. You can find the majestic tiger, the ghariyal - a huge reptile found only in the Indian subcontinent, and a variety of flora and fauna in Panna National Park. It was declared in 1994 as the 22 Tiger reserve of India and fifth in Madhya Pradesh.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve

Bandhavgarh National Park is the most visited and tremendously famed tiger palace in Madhya Pradesh located in the Vindhya Hills of Umaria district. The park is recognized as one of the major destination opted for the tiger project on the wage of continuing the essential tiger project in India. by spreading across an area of 105 sq km the name Bandhavgarh has been acquired from the most prominent hillock of the area, flourished with high biodiversity and since the area is filled with large density of tiger population, Bandhavgarh stands among the most regarded national park preferably for tiger tours which is being visited at the best season of 15th of October to till 30th of June.

Attractions at Bandhavgarh : Bandhavgarh Fort – People say, this fort is 2000 year old and has been under the control of Maghas dynasties for 20 complete centuries but its pre-history still got its value when we learn that the legend of Ramayana also includes this ancient fort. This is being believed that the fort was being built by Lord Rama during his short stay at the area (jungle) of Bandhavgarh while returning from Lanka. He then gifted this fort to his brother Lakshmana who took the control of this fort to watch the activities of Lanka. The fort attracts the tourists today with the presence of the ancient ruins of the fort and the nearby temple. Bandhavgarh Hill – This is the highest hill in the reserve area with an altitude of 807 m and includes around 32 hills. These small hills together with the Bandhavgarh hill form a number of low lying plains and valleys. The Bandhavgarh hill is formed of sandstones and the presence of different streams and springs are the source of water in the region. Climbers Point – The most appealing place in the Bandhavgarh National Park, Climber's Point brings an aerial view of the entire park which is being flourished with Sal and Bamboo trees. This place is also being surrounded by some of the faunal species like butea superba and bauhinia wahlii for much denser ambience. Baghel Museum – The Baghel museum is composed of all the personal belongings of Maharaja of Rewa which is being displayed to the visitors to explore the royal and jungle life of Bandhavgarh. The museum also boasts ancient hunting equipments by the Maharajas along with some of the military equipments. Cheshpur Waterfalls – This is a natural water fall in River Johila, located at a distance of 50 km from Bandhavgarh and is also an ideal location for the tourists to enjoy picnic here.

Pench Tiger Reserve

Pench National Park is placed in Chhindwara and Seoni districts of Madhya Pradesh (India). The name is derived from the Pench River, flows through the National Park. The river flows from north to south that divides the park into equal eastern and western halves-the well woody areas of both districts. The park has several species of animals among which wild guars, tigers, leopard, monkeys and deer, etc., are easily observed. The park is nearby from Pauni on National Highway 7 and very close to Maharashtra & Nagpur. There are two famous gates for tourist entry, which is named as Turiya and Karmajhiri.

Satpura Hill Forest

Positioned amidst the range of Satpura in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura National Park is a pristine wildlife habitat that is spread over an area of 524 sq. km. It was first introduced by the popular bird watcher Dr. Salim Ali in the year 1981. In the same year, the park covers an area of 1427 sq km by adjoining Bori Sanctuary (486 sq km) and Panchmarhi Wildlife Sanctuary(417 sq km), making a unique central Indian highland ecosystem. By the year 1999, the park was added to Tiger Project Network and became Bodi-Satpura Tiger Reserve. Well, this place captivates one who is keen interested in archaeology as there are plenty of rock shelters of ancient period that are embellished with beautiful paintings. En route you'll find the rugged landscapes commemorated with sandstone peaks, narrow gorge, ravines, and dense forests that make it an inimitable creation of the nature. It's the place where every wildlife buffs must visit to enjoy the view of jungle, lovely hilly terrains, rivulets and unswayed forest, etc. Very rich in biodiversity, the wildlife of Satpura covers a huge range of flora and fauna including rare species of mammals, birds, reptiles and plants.
