The area from where you will be travelling after Purulia is mostly Elephant Corridor. The whole area is called the Dalma Range. You shall move on through Jhalida, Silli and Bundu. Finally reach Dassam Falls. The Dassam Falls also known as Dassam Ghagh is a waterfall located near Taimara village in Bundu police station of Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Dassam is a changed form of word Da:song which means in mundari language the act of pouring water. Da: means water and song means pouring or measuring. The water fall resembles like somebody is pouring water so the name was Da:song earlier but afterwards the name was changed to Dassam. After visiting Dassam you will move on to the Chandil Reservoir via Murpa, Deori Mandir, Mardhan through Tata Road. The natural Scenery in and around Chandil is unique and enchanting. It is surrounded by green mountains, hills, streams, rivers, the peace, pleasure and knowledge providing gifts of God, the Almighty on all sides. It plays a vital role for the people of all the three blocks, including itself - Chandil, Ichagarh and Nimdih. Chandil Dam standing on the Subarnarekha River is a place of scenic beauty. This dam is one of the most visited places of jharkhand. The museum located close to the Chandil dam has scripts written on rocks, which are 2000 years old. The multi-purpose chandil dam was built across the meeting place of both the rivers. The dam is 220 meter in height and the height of its water level is 190 meter from different places tourists coming from different parts of the country enjoy boating and the natural beauty in and around the dam.Chandil is famous for its importance in the field of tourism. The River Swarnarekha flows through this region. The Karkori River originating from the Hundru falls mingles with the Swarnarekha River here at chandil. Best time to visit November to February. The dam with a vast water reservoir, is a great place to spend a winter afternoon. The serene ambience by the still waters becomes suddenly alive with the cacophony of a wide variety of chirping birds. The lake is often intercepted by a whizzing speed boat or by a lazy shikara. At the end of the day when the dark graduallyly overcastting the forest & Hills, move to the resort where you will stay overnight.

Dalma Forest Safari: In the morning enjoy the Natural Environment of the Dalma Forest areas. Listen to the enchanting notes of the colourful unknown birds and many small wildlife. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is located 10 km from the city of Jamshedpur in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It was inaugurated by Sanjay Gandhi in 1975. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is situated around the Dalma Hills. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is a much larger area starting from Chandil to 40 km east. The Sanctuary on paper is spread around in 195 km2. The forest cover is denuded up to 90% because of selective pilferage by timber mafia over many years. The Wildlife Sanctuary has Elephants, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear and Porcupines as the main inhabitants. Famous for holding many elephants and other animals, which come downhill during the Monsoons and winter and enter nearby villages and towns of Jharkhand and West Bengal. This occasionally leads to conflicts between man and elephants. Wild animal population has severely declined because of the sinister practice of Dessau Sangar which is carnage of wild animals in summer under some animist religious garb and also due to the severely depleted forest cover. There are small hideouts within the sanctuary to view the wild animals in their natural habitat.

Burudi Dam - Phuldungri Mountain - Baripada: Get up at early morning. Walk around close to the Dalma Hills & Forests. Enjoy the breath taking nature amidst high rise of trees and hills. Complete your breakfast. Move towards Phuldungri Mountain. Located 10 kilometers from Dharagiri are the Phuldungri hills with its breathtaking view of the land below. It also provides one of the most adventurous trekking trails in India, known to very few people. The rare view of an elephant or a herd passing by over the Dharagiri falls once you reach there at the end of the trek is worth all the effort. Move on to Burudi Dam. This is located 9 kilometers north of Ghatshila. It consists of the Burudih Dam and an artificial lake which is surrounded by beautiful picturesque hills on either side.
